hey mate, when you said they kept failing you mean they are getting too hot???? if this is the case it may be worth trying a stronger pad that will take the heat, ive heard good things about redstuff pads have you asked on the legacy forum??
http://uklegacy.com/forums/index.php

you might be able to get a good few pointers from them boys as they know there s**t. heres a couple of links that may help you....

http://scoobytech.com/default.aspx

http://www.japanparts.com/db/partslist.php?dealer=1&car=9&middlesmall=3%3A2&maker=&volkey=

hope these help, if its just a case of your driving style is a little harsh on the brakes then i'd recommend giving a scoobymania a ring they have a website too if it helps

http://www.scoobymania.co.uk/shop/index.php

if your still having troubles then there is a guy called Mike L on the HJC who will tell you everything you want to know about any subaru on the planet

hope this helps dude
