take the powercap off they increase you BHP but loose you loads of lowdown torque

The SFI box is very well designed and provides a good spread of torque. The 'gains' from the power cap are 1-2 bhp ish peak power at the expense of destroying the bottom end of the torque curve. So only if your chasing a peak bhp figure for the pub then I'd say bin it

as above the sfi chamber is sized correctly to magnify the pressure waves going up and down the inlet manifold runners, and aids cylinder filling (torque) at specific points in the rev range. since its a road car, that means 3500-5000 area.

fitting the power cap reduced the chambers volume and you move this boost in torque up the rev range, since bhp is a product of revs and torque, increasing or sustaining torque at higher revs equals more bhp. this torque is pretty useless on a road car as you will very rarely have the car wound up that much even down a 1/4mile you will lose out.

most people use them as they cant work out how to get the sfi box into the nova or corsa

torque is best bhp is poo

BHP gets you to the wall but torque is how far you take it with you

just put a turbo in it you will acheive 380bhp for under 2800 and it will take it all day long with
omega pistons
hardened crank
arp bolts
and uprated bigend and main bearings running the phase 3 map and intercooler

away you go instant sucide machine

does yours try to rape you into the curb when its raining and you accelerate hard

i actually controll my cars cornering by playing with the throttle it unlike most cars

it tightens up when you let off a little bit and helps you get it round tight corners just cant accellerate hard untill your wheels are straight
